The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor (WS-8801-13) to work at the 41th Test Wing, 412th Maintenance Group, 412th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 461st Aircraft Maintenance Unit (412 AMXS/MXAD) at Edwards AFB.
The purpose of this position is to provide on-equipment maintenance for General Test & Test Aircraft. To provide on-equipment maintenance supervisor for either the day or swing shift for one of the AMU production elements, which can include several aircraft maintenance flights. To manage, supervise, and technically direct personnel performing aircraft & ordinance system inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, modification, and overhaul of various assigned aircraft and ordinance systems and associated components, including organizational intermediate, and depot level maintenance and Type 2 modifications. May also be required to act as the flights Weapons Manager.

Typical 2026 salary range: $65.33 - $76.22 per hour (includes locality)

Desired Skills
- 2–4 years of experience leading teams, delegating tasks, setting priorities, and contributing to performance feedback processes
- 2–4 years of experience developing and presenting detailed proposals, briefings, and informational documents to senior leadership, Command, and Higher Headquarters.
- 2+ years of developmental and/or operational flight test experience
Major Duties
- Performs work planning responsibilities: Plans, estimates, and schedules weekly and monthly aircraft maintenance operations for a mixed-skill crew of over 40 technicians; establishes deadlines and priorities, allocates personnel and resources to balance workloads, and collaborates with senior leadership to align maintenance capabilities with flying and mission schedules.
- Performs work direction responsibilities: Directs daily assignments and provides technical guidance for complex tasks, actively investigates and resolves productivity or cost issues, and advises leadership on staffing, engineering solutions, and operational delays to maintain mission readiness.
- Performs administration responsibilities: Manages personnel administration by developing performance standards, conducting appraisals, coordinating training and leave schedules, and resolving grievances, while facilitating career development through promotions, reassignments, and strategic position restructuring to maximize workforce efficiency.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing..
- Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
- Knowledge of development engineering methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
