Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead contractor personnel on the Kaneohe Bay hangar floor, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time aircraft maintenance execution.

The role reports to the Site Manager and requires coordinating with Government representatives and maintenance control to align priorities and resources. The ideal candidate has 3+ years supervising aircraft maintenance, 5+ years in overhaul trades or labor, and experience with MRO operations on

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience supervising aircraft maintenance preferred.
• Five or more years' experience with aircraft overhaul trades and labor work.
• Experience overseeing MRO operations on multi-engine aircraft preferred.
• Military aircraft maintenance experience is preferred.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Contractor personnel on the on-duty shift and maintain accountability for personnel, work assignments, production status, safety, and shift turnover.
• Report to the Site Manager and keep leadership informed of shift performance, manpower status, and maintenance progress.
• Coordinate daily shift priorities with Government Maintenance Control, COR, QA, and Government reps.
• Assign and monitor personnel performing maintenance, inspections, launch/recovery support, corrosion control, tool room, and related tasks.
• Ensure work adheres to the Performance Work Statement, manuals, SOPs, and safety/security requirements.
• Maintain shift discipline, attendance, PPE, tool control, and access/security compliance.
• Verify qualifications, certifications, trainings, and credentials before work.
• Support quality by monitoring rework, corrective actions, and readiness for QA review.
• Enforce safety requirements including FOD prevention, HM handling, aircraft movement safety, and mishap reporting.
• Conduct shift turnover with the next supervisor and report status on aircraft, discrepancies, and materials.
• Support development and compliance with Local Operating Instructions and procedures.
• Protect Government property, data, and equipment during the shift.
• Document and escalate staffing and qualification concerns to the Site Manager.
• Other duties as required.
