Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks a Shift Manager to oversee all aircraft maintenance activities for the assigned shift, coordinating with Quality Personnel, Team Leads and Parts Department to ensure timely, safe maintenance work and clear customer communication.

The role requires 5+ years in corporate aircraft maintenance, strong supervisory skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. You will manage estimates, time sheets and FAA-compliant procedures while promoting safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ prior experience in corporate aircraft maintenance recommended.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products required.
• Experience using aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and technical forms.
• Supervision of two or more-line maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aircraft maintenance activities for assigned shift.
• Attends shift turnover meetings.
• Coordinates project details with Quality Personnel, Team Leads and Parts Department.
• Reviews squawks and prepares customer-approved estimates.
• Submits customer approvals and facilitates parts procurement with Project Coordinator Management.
• Ensures project estimates stay on track.
• Monitors hours to align with proposals and estimates.
