Job summary

A&P Mechanic Institute is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor to deliver engaging courses in aircraft maintenance, align with FAA standards, and manage records and assessments. You will work with faculty to enhance curriculum and ensure student success in Lakeland, FL.

The role includes teaching, administrative duties, and ensuring a safe, well-equipped classroom and lab environment, with opportunities to contribute to program growth.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes on a scheduled basis and foster inclusive learning.
• Assist Director to develop curriculum and schedule classes.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
• Establish and maintain academic and attendance records as required by policies.
• Notify Director of issues and implement retention strategies.
• Assist in managing inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Monitor student attendance closely.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director.
