Job summary

Cotulla Education in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor to train the next generation of FAA-certified mechanics in a Part 147 program. The role supports military-to-civilian transitions and offers a 5-day paid instructor training program.

The position requires an A&P credential with at least 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience and allows for an evening schedule. A 401(k), health benefits, and relocation/sign-on bonuses are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Willing to teach in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum with hands-on instruction.
• Teach in classroom and active hangar environments.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.
• Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials.
