Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Controller in Chicago, IL to oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and return-to-service activities for onboard broadband systems on customer aircraft.

You will coordinate with airline partners and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with FAA requirements and thorough documentation. Strong English communication and ability to travel domestically up to 5% are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Ability to interpret aircraft schematics.
• Ability to understand engineering orders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance, repair and return-to-service activities for onboard broadband systems
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable company, airline partner and FAA requirements
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation for work performed on customer aircraft
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with airline partners
• Coordinate with contract maintenance personnel
• Verify required maintenance and preventive maintenance activities are completed appropriately
• Conduct diagnostic checks on onboard broadband systems
• Support airline partners with maintenance requests
• Support airline partners with engineering requests
• Coordinate with airline maintenance planners
• Coordinate with aircraft routing personnel
• Work with third-party contract maintenance providers as required
• Complete assigned tasks according to operational schedules
