Job description

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Maintenance Controllers and direct the line maintenance operation.
  • Coordinate with Controllers to arrange certified maintenance providers to perform maintenance on Piedmont aircraft.
  • Run reports to determine parts requirements for the clearing of MELs and any restrictions associated with the aircraft.
  • Ensure all personnel perform in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Supervise maintenance activities performed on all operational aircraft.
  • Ensure all work performed is in accordance with policies and procedures set forth in any CFR or appropriate manual.
  • Ensure the Minimum Equipment List / Configuration Deviation List program is being properly executed.
  • Perform on‑the‑job training with other maintenance personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Airframe & Powerplant certificate and company‑issued licenses.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft, one year of which must have been as a certificated mechanic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the aircraft system and flight operation.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Policies and Procedures Manual, including applicable provisions of CFRs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of maintenance experience in a Part 121 environment, two (2) of which should have been in the position of Maintenance Controller.
  • Standard office environment experience, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
  • Some travel is required.
  • All shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts.
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs.
  • Handle objects up to 70 pounds.

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, 10‑year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. Proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Salary

Starting Rate: $80,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year (Based on locale and experience).
