Position Overview
At Piedmont Airlines, we deliver industry‑leading service to our customers and partners. We are seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our Maintenance Department as an Aircraft Avionics Technician. This role performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems and components and reports to the Avionics Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Complete routine and non‑routine maintenance; troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace aircraft communication, navigation, and electrical equipment.
- Perform functional testing and inspections of the avionics on our fleet.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Associate’s degree specializing in electronics and avionics systems or a minimum of two years of experience working with aircraft electronics and avionics systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical operations.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
- Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio‑Telephone Operator Certificate.
- Standard office environment experience: telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
- Experience working in an airport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
- Availability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
- Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly and up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance.

Compensation
Starting Rate: $29.40 per hour
Bonuses: awarded in accordance with company policies and applicable criteria.
