Job summary

Republic Airways seeks an aviation mechanic helper to assist licensed A&P Mechanics with preventive maintenance, repair, and modifications to aircraft and related equipment in accordance with standards and regulations.

You will read manuals, complete maintenance paperwork, and communicate progress to teammates and leadership to ensure safe, timely work in a 24-hour operation. A high school diploma and 30 months of concurrent A&P experience are required; Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 30 months of concurrent experience for both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Able to use and navigate within Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
• Able to work both in a team setting and individually.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, replaces or otherwise performs routine aircraft maintenance work in a safe and timely manner.
• Accurately completes required maintenance-related paperwork.
• Communicates effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping coworkers and leadership apprised of progress and difficulties.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings for repair/ modification.
• Completes on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading.
