Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Aircraft Worker to support NAS Whidbey Island maintenance operations. This role performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling, and operation of support equipment, including conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance.

Responsibilities include repairs under guidance, parts replacement, and ensuring safe aircraft operations. The candidate must meet security clearance requirements and be able to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or training/experience.
• Three years recent related experience in aircraft field per contract requirements.
• A&P license counts as three years of experience.
• F/A-18E/F and EA-18G Plane Captain experience required for Line Aircraft Worker.
• Secret clearance and facility credentials; U.S. citizenship required for credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-operational checks, fueling and operation of support equipment.
• Make repairs to aircraft per higher-grade orders; replace defective parts and adjust cables, gear, and fittings.
• Service engines and aircraft components at line station to keep aircraft safe for flight.
• Perform required inspections (MRC) and follow NAVAIR manuals.
• Assist with pre-flight and recovery of support equipment, and aircraft directing for sorties.
