Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical dispositions and guidance for aircraft issues exceeding published limits, including structural repairs.
  • Provide work deviation authorization and interpretation of service documents and Engineering Orders.
  • Offer repair vs. replace options to minimize cost impact.
  • Assist Line Maintenance with aircraft system troubleshooting.
  • Attend daily production and pre-induction meetings for timely support.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Fleet Groups for action and follow-up.
  • Monitor trends and develop typical repairs to reduce repetitive BA requests.

Job description

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is looking for an Aircraft Line Support Engineer (ESC, AOG).

Position Purpose

Liaison engineering supporting aircraft line maintenance operations.

Essential Functions
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing technical dispositions (via Engineering Authorizations) and guidance for aircraft issues that exceed published limits for structural damage including sheet metal and composite repairs. This often includes performing a structural analysis.
  • Providing work deviation authorization, interpretation of service documents & Engineering Orders.
  • Providing options for repairing versus replacing a part to minimize financial impact.
  • Providing aircraft system trouble shooting assistance to Line Maintenance.
  • Attending daily production meeting and pre-induction meeting to ensure timely support
  • Coordinating events/issues with Engineering Fleet Groups for additional action, troubleshooting and follow-up.
  • Monitoring trends and recurring discrepancies requiring corrective action. Developing Typical Repairs and manual supplement to eliminate repetitive BA requests.
As an ideal candidate to join the AVTECH team, you will meet the following
Education And Experience Requirements
  • BS Degree (or higher) in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
  • Two plus (2+) years in specific technical discipline
Required Unique Skills
  • Ability to perform structural analysis to substantiate repairs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, conscientious and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of FARs, FAA policies, and vendor manual (AMM, IPC, CMM)
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule to meet internal customer's needs
  • Aircraft/airline/MRO or aviation engineering experience desired
Shift
  • Typical shift is Tuesday thru the following Monday
  • 10 hours a day (w/additional 5 hours of pay on either end to cover travel)
  • 7 on/7 off rotation (no relocation requirement)
  • Travel costs covered (i.e., flights, hotel, rental car, etc.)
