Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a seasoned leader for the Landing Gear shop, focused on safety, quality, and timely repair/overhaul of landing gear and hydraulic systems.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, work with manuals, and supervise a team in a fast paced hangar environment, coordinating with Avionics, Paint, Interiors or Maintenance as needed. Strong scheduling and budget skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or related field; 6 years aviation experience including 3 years in support functions on large or mid-size cabin aircraft.
• An A&P license and four additional years of related aircraft experience may offset the degree.
• Direct and coordinate hangar support to ensure timely and cost effective delivery, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage support area efforts to develop and maintain milestone schedules of multiple projects with proper staffing.
• Develop new methods and procedures and implement corrective actions to ensure on-schedule delivery and reduce costs/waste.
• Maintain relationships with other departments and external customers to exchange information on problems, deviations, and quality variances.
• Ensure root causes are defined and permanent corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and historical data for all product lines; manage area training and proposals.
• Plan and control department budget performance; coordinate with material to ensure timely delivery of parts.
