You will work with fabric, vinyl, and leather, using sewing tools and power equipment. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades.
Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
Responsibilities
Fabricate, using drawings and aircraft specifications, cover and install flat panels and curtains.
Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads and panels; fabricate metal parts and install panels and windows as needed.
Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.
Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing techniques to increase safety, reduce costs and cycle time.
Follow safety, 5S and housekeeping policies and wear required PPE.
