Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA is seeking a cabinet maker to support aircraft interior modification efforts. Under general direction you will assist with directing activities and personnel to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of Aircraft Interior experience; FAA A&P license or repairman certificate is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role with up to 25% travel and a first shift.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license or repairman certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop work schedules, estimates and status reports; aid in establishing priorities and assigns work to subordinates to meet commitments.
• Coordinate work with other departments and work closely with engineering and contract administrators to ensure proper fabrication and completion.
• Ensure workmanship is of highest quality; provide recommendations for continuous quality and process improvement.
• Report to management on status of assignments; prepare and maintain department records and reports.
• Instruct, coach and assist subordinates in procedures and blueprints; train in methods and interpersonal skills.
• Follow up and expedite corrective action in shop controlled operations affecting schedules.
• Implement and monitor a continuous safety program; enforce FOD regulations and housekeeping.
