Job summary

Comlux America LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Finish Application Technician II to perform surface preparation and finishing on aircraft interior components under moderate supervision. You will apply intermediate to advanced finishes, interpret drawings, and ensure quality per RSQM standards.

The role requires 3+ years in finish application, painting, or related aviation manufacturing, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

Must have solid knowledge of finishing materials and techniques.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of FAA/RSQM requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

Independently perform surface preparation and finishing processes including sanding, masking, priming, painting, staining, and polishing.
Apply intermediate to advanced finishes such as high-gloss coatings, veneers, and specialty finishes.
Interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and process requirements to ensure compliance.
Inspect completed work for quality, identify defects, and perform rework as necessary.
Complete all required documentation and regulatory sign-offs per RSQM standards.
Coordinate material needs and support workflow planning within assigned tasks.
Maintain safety, environmental, and handling requirements for finishing materials.
Mentor Technician I and Trainee level employees.
