Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector IV to lead inspection teams and oversee complex inspections. You will develop protocols, document findings, and ensure compliance for aviation programs across environments.

The role involves training junior staff and conducting regular maintenance audits. The position requires FAA A&P certification, deployment readiness for extended periods, and a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in aircraft inspection.
• Active FAA A&P certification required.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment and parts.
• Experience with product audit and inspection procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel).
• Able to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations for extended periods.
• Must meet DoD/Combatant Command travel requirements.
• Pre-deployment medical clearance required.
• Willing to work extended hours and shifts.
• Possess a valid passport and visa eligibility for international travel.
• Secret U.S. security clearance required.
• Aviation inspection background in Aerospace/Defense preferred.
• Experience with aircraft modifications is a plus.
