Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P certification and airframe/powerplant ratings.
• 10+ years of aircraft inspection, maintenance, or quality assurance experience.
• Proficient reading of aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Experience performing inspections and audits in an aviation environment with strong documentation.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector IV to perform detailed inspections of aircraft, aircraft systems, components, and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintenance standards, and airworthiness directives. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections, identifying discrepancies, verifying corrective actions, and approving aircraft for return to service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections on aircraft, systems, components, and related equipment.
• Ensure aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, and inspection activities comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
• Review maintenance records, inspection documentation, work orders, and technical data for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct audits and inspections to verify adherence to established quality control procedures and airworthiness requirements.
• Interpret and utilize aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Identify non-conformances, document findings, and support corrective action initiatives.
• Verify structural repairs, aircraft modifications, and installation of components.
• Approve completed maintenance activities and authorize aircraft return-to-service when applicable.
• Perform inspections of parts, tooling, and equipment used in aircraft maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Required Qualifications

• Active and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 10 years of aircraft inspection, maintenance, or quality assurance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, components, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience performing aircraft inspections and product audits in an aviation environment.
• Strong understanding of inspection processes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret:

  • Technical specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of 14 CFR regulations and aviation compliance requirements.
• Experience with civil aviation, government aviation, or FAA repair station operations.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) designation.
• Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Background supporting aircraft modifications and structural modification programs.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, military, or government aviation environments.

Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working around aircraft.
