Job summary

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site in Mobile, Alabama seeks an Industrial/Airport Firefighter-EMT to provide advanced fire, rescue, EMS and hazardous materials response in a 24/7 aviation manufacturing environment. Duties include aircraft firefighting, confined space rescue, medical response, and standby for engine starts and flight tests.

The role emphasizes readiness of apparatus, life safety inspections, training, and collaboration with Airbus EHS and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Respond to aircraft, HAZMAT, structural and EMS incidents and decide response method.
Provide EMT-Basic level medical care under Medical Director guidance.
Maintain station apparatus and equipment in ready condition.
Inspect and ensure daily/weekly/annual vehicle and equipment inspections.
Inspect buildings and fueling facilities for fire hazards.
Complete required reports promptly.
Assist with Airbus Mobile Emergency Action Plan and weather responses.
Conduct fire safety and emergency response training for employees/contractors.
Participate in drills with EHS and on-site medical services.
Drive emergency vehicles and respond to radio communications.
Perform life safety equipment inspections and document results.
Conduct confined space rescue in aircraft fuel tanks per OSHA and Airbus procedures.
Be available for nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
