The pay for this role will be $16.50/hr.

Job summary

Assures quality services are provided to all customers. Assures company culture is followed & provides a safe and friendly work environment

Your activities

  • Reports to the Manager of Passenger Services
  • Ensures no unauthorized persons have the ability to enter or place prohibted items or dangerous goods onboard the aircraft
  • Ensures dangerous items are not placed near the A/C that would possible post harm to the aircraft, Ground Staff, Crew or PAX.
  • The Aircraft Guard/Baggage Handler must also ensure no times are removed from the A/C or placed on the A/C that are not authorized to be removed/placed on the A/C
  • Collect items left onboard and catalog if required by the airline
  • Screen individuals with approved handheld metal det4ector or pat down all persons entering the A/C (per airline standard) Patdowns are to be done by same sex only.\Check I.D"s of all persons entering the A/C to ensure proper airport/airline I.D's are displayed. A visitor must be accompanied by an escort with proper airport/airline I.D
  • Report all suspicious activities to appropriat4e Airport Agency, Airline & Swissport Management.
  • Guards may be required to stand for long periods of Time.
  • Guards may be exposed to extreme warm or cold temperatures as work may be indoors or out of doors as assigned.
  • Guards may be required to complete reports as required by the airline
  • Guards may be assigned to monitor and catalog bags that are loaded on the A/C as required by airline
  • Safety style shoes and uniforms are required to be worn at all times while on duty.
  • Guards are to never leave their post until relieved or authorized by a supervisor
  • Guards must be available to be scheduled any shift and any day
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Load and unload checked baggage at ticketing/check-in counters to appropriate conveyor belts
  • Bend, stand, kneel throughout the duration of assigned shift
  • Assist ticketing agents with verifying correct luggage destination tags.

Your profile

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Passionate about customer service and must have relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in country specific language
  • Additional languages desirable
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Attentive to detail and numerate
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
