Job summary

V2X Inc. in Meridian, MS is seeking a Plane Captain to provide line services for scheduled flight operations. You will inspect aircraft, fuel, service engines, and assist with aircraft movement and safety on the ramp.

Training will be provided, with annual re-qualification and potential lead duties. The role requires DoD CAC eligibility, a HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to travel up to 50% with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a DoD CAC (Common Access Card)
• HS diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred 1 year aircraft experience and/or accredited air frame & power plant license; or completion of a military Aviation A School
• Must have basic mechanical aptitude
• Must pass Plane Captain Board and become qualified within 120 days
• Must read/write/speak/understand English
• Must be able to travel ~50%
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Must have a valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Launch and recover aircraft in accordance with guidelines, day and night
• Perform aircraft inspections per published criteria
• Conduct fueling operations using gravity fill and closed circuit methods
• Service engine oil and hydraulic systems as required
• Assist as a member of aircraft moving crew and engine rinse team
• Clean and lubricate aircraft as assigned; maintain work area cleanliness
• Operate portable fire fighting equipment and safety gear
