Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Arlington, VA is seeking an Aircraft Fueler to fuel/defuel aircraft and service at the airport. You will interpret weight and balance loading instructions and perform basic math related to weight, measurement and volume for fueling operations.

This role requires maintaining a safe work environment, adherence to health, safety, and security policies, and the ability to work outside in all weather conditions with flexible shift options including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations.
  • Lift and move up to 70lbs.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends/holidays.
  • Prior experience and/or CDL or Oil & Gas background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fueling safely and efficiently; operate fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
  • Conduct daily quality control checks on equipment and keep it clean and functional.
  • Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Defuel aircraft as directed.

Role Purpose

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions
  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment, maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed.

What We Are Looking For
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations
  • Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver's License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
  • This is a full-time position and the schedules available is : 15:00 - 2330 Tuesday and Wednesday off
