Job summary

Menzies Aviation in the United States is seeking a Fueler to assist with fueling, defueling and servicing aircraft at the airport. You will read and apply weight and balance instructions and perform precise fuel loading under supervision.

The role requires good English, basic math, and physical fitness to lift up to 70 lbs. You must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in various weather.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English and perform basic math.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle fueling carts and hoses.
• Work is outdoors in all weather; must be flexible for variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior fuel industry experience or CDL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fueling safely and efficiently; operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and hoses.
• Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
• Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and keep gear clean and functional.
• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel and defueling as directed.

Role Purpose

The aircraft Fueler responsibility is to the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircrafts at the airport. You will need to perform simple mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with regards to weight, measurement and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions as they pertain to fueling.

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What you will be doing

• Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions
• Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment, maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed.

Shifts:

1st. 4:00am-12:30pm
2nd. 12:00pm-8:30pm
3rd. 8:00pm-4:30am

What we are looking for:

• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations
• Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs.
• Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
