Job summary

Boeing North Charleston, SC is seeking an Associate or Experienced Flight Readiness Technician (Level B or C) to support the 787 Program within the Delivery Center Operations Team. This on-site role operates on a variable shift and focuses on final component installation, verification, and flight readiness testing.

You will perform pre-flight and post-flight checks, troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems, and ensure safety and quality for delivery, with DOT testing requirements.

Qualifications

• 6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience.
• 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
• 6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

Responsibilities

• Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
• Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate faults and assists in repairing faulty components.
• Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.
• Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
• Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.
• Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.
• Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.
• Exhibits Boeing Behaviors.
