Job Description
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team! Our team is responsible for supporting the F-35 OO-ALC Ogden Depot at Hill AFB, Utah to troubleshoot various air vehicle and mission system issues that occur during concurrent modifications and upgrades.
As a Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE, the preferred candidate will be a subject Matter Expert (SME) in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS). It is desired the individual also be be an emerging authority in APG/Vehicle Systems (VS), with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of MS or VS.
The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin AFS technical interface to the Ogden Depot on-site customer (both operations and maintenance) resolving issues arising from modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing
Additional responsibilities include:
* Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of aircraft discrepancies experienced during the execution of concurrent Depot-level TCTDs, Modifications, Upgrades, & Overhaul (MUO)
* Attend maintenance meetings and debriefings to aid with rapid identification of emerging issues requiring company intervention to mitigate aircraft downtime and maintain Depot schedule.
* Document unusual operations/maintenance issues ensuring company awareness and identify emerging failure trends.
* Initiate Action Requests (ARs) and document unique operational failures/problems requiring technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions. Provide onsite assistance to company and customer personnel in writing effective ARs.
* Provide informal customer training/guidance. Must be able to work and interact with various levels of customer leadership and maintainers, Product Support Engineers, and various F-35 enterprise support peers.
* Travel required; candidates must be willing and able to deploy with customer to CONUS and OCONS, potential hazardous duty locations, including potential shipboard assignments. Long term deployments may be required. US Department of Defense mandated vaccinations may be required.
* Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels.
* Direct on-site support as requested by customer, site manager, or program management. Lead and track multiple engineering efforts and provide periodic status to customer and program management.
* Second shift work required, selected candidate must be willing and able to work any shift as needed.
* Must be able to obtain F-35 Special Program Access. Must have at minimum a Final Secret Security Clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
