Job summary

VHR Global Technical Recruitment seeks an Aircraft Engine Shop Technician in Brunswick, ME to support maintenance, repair, overhaul, and testing of commercial aircraft engines. You will read and apply OEM manuals and service bulletins while ensuring FAA, OEM, quality, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, cleaning, assembly, testing, and documenting findings. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision tools are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in aircraft engine, component, MRO, airline, or aviation maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine and component disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing.
• Interpret OEM maintenance manuals, CMMs, EMMs, engineering instructions, and service bulletins.
• Inspect components for wear, corrosion, cracks, and other serviceability issues.
• Use precision measuring equipment and specialized tooling.
• Document maintenance activities, discrepancies, and inspection findings accurately.
• Support engine troubleshooting, module work, component replacement, and overhaul activities.
• Maintain part traceability, tool control, and FOD prevention practices.
• Follow FAA regulations, OSHA requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, preservation, and packaging of engines and components.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
