Insight Global is seeking an Aircraft Electrician II to install/modify electrical harnesses and components on C-130J aircraft. You will route, terminate, and test wire/cable assemblies, interpret drawings, and follow manuals to determine feasible installation methods.
Requires at least four years of avionics experience in one of the listed fields, USAF 7-Level or equivalent, and an active secret clearance. On-site work in a high-security environment with safety and FOD prevention.
Minimum four (4) years of avionics experience required in one of the following or equivalent fields, Communications/Navigations, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Electro/Environmental required.
Strong aptitude to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings Minimum or equivalent of a USAF 7-Level (Craftsman).
Active secret security clearance
You will be an Aircraft Electrician II, you will be responsible for installing/modifying electrical harnesses/components, routing wire/cable assemblies, terminating wire/cable assemblies and testing wire/cable assemblies on C-130J aircraft
As an Aircraft Electrician I, you will be required to:
Install, route, terminate, and test electrical cables and harnesses on C-130J aircraft to include Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF Cables, Twinax Cables, Triax Cables, Quadrax Cables, Ethernet Cables.
Remove and install aircraft components as required.
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints such as electrical wiring diagrams, routing drawings, and harness assembly drawings.
Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of install/modification.
Use and apply hand tools, power tools, work stands, support equipment, and special tools/calibrated test equipment.
Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds.
Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.
