Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer for our client in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on design, development, integration, and testing of electrical power and distribution systems for various aircraft platforms.

You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements, while working a hybrid on-site/remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in aircraft electrical systems design and integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Strong AC/DC power, wiring standards, EMC knowledge.
• Experience with avionics interfaces and data buses.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems.
• Create wiring diagrams and harness designs using CAD.
• Perform load analyses, fault tolerance studies, and simulations.
• Integrate systems with other aircraft subsystems for compatibility.
• Test and validate electrical systems; troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards and customer specs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing for production and assembly.
• Document design activities, test results, and specs.
• Support resolution of in-service electrical issues.
