Job summary

Insight Global in Waco, TX is seeking multiple Aircraft Electrical Design Engineers to join our Military Aircraft team. You will design and integrate electrical systems for aircraft and perform wiring, harness layouts, and interface testing.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical or related field, 5+ years in aerospace electrical design, and familiarity with Capital Harness, Teamcenter PLM, Jira, and FAA airworthiness standards. Active security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of aerospace/defense electrical design experience with Capital Harness.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness layouts.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with cable harness standards, FAA Part 23/25 or military airworthiness.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter PLM, Jira, and Visio; active Secret level clearance or higher.
• Experience with Bombardier Global aircraft is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for aircraft integration using Capital Harness tool.
• Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts.
• Plan and verify electrical tests in lab and on aircraft; troubleshoot interfaces.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for integration.
• Review wiring diagrams and reports for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support through design and production phases; stay current with industry trends.
