NAVAIR is seeking an Aircraft Data Specialist to work with Aircraft Data Technicians, resolve operational issues, and oversee logbook data management. The role involves coordinating transfer notifications and status information across military commands and providing technical guidance to the team.

The position focuses on ensuring accurate logs, records, and workload forecasting for depot production, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and cross‑agency coordination.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Aircraft Data Technicians to resolve problems and customer concerns.
• Conduct research and oversee problem resolution until logs and records services are satisfactory.
• Coordinate aircraft transfer order notifications and aircraft/equipment status information with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and foreign military commands.
• Provide technical advice, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
• Update, maintain, and manage logbook tracking data which will be provided to the depot production with trend analysis, error tracking, current and future workload.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will work directly with the Aircraft Data Technicians in order to resolve problems and customer concerns.

• You will coordinate aircraft transfer order notifications, and aircraft/equipment status information with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and various foreign military commands.
• You will provide technical advice, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
• You will update, maintain, and manage logbook tracking data which will be provided to the depot production with trend analysis, error tracking, current and future workload.
