Job summary

AAA USA in Windsor Locks, CT, is actively hiring an Aircraft Composite Technician to support major aerospace repair and manufacturing programs across multiple locations, with travel required to client sites and relocation assistance available.

You will lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond a variety of metal and composite parts, fabricate and inspect components, and operate autoclaves, presses and ovens to complete bonding cycles in accordance with engineering specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerospace composite experience.
• Experience performing structural composite repairs, fabrication and rework on aircraft components.
• Ability to read prints, charts, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, pre-fits, and bonds metal/composite parts and assemblies.
• Fabricates and inspects fiberglass, acrylic, composites and metal components per specs.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycles.
• Sands, burrs and smoothes surfaces; applies sealing resins as needed.
• Obtains information from prints, charts, and orders.

AAA USA is actively hiring experienced Aircraft Composite Technician professionals to support major aerospace repair and manufacturing programs in Multiple Locations. Key Responsibilities:

• Lays out, assembles, pre-fits, and bonds a variety of metal, compositor laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins or equipment.
• Team with others to fabricate, assemble, form, finish and inspect a wide variety of structural and non-structural fiberglass, acrylic and other composite and metal parts, tools and assemblies.
• Follows engineering and manufacturing specifications and orders to determine parts to be bonded and the temperature and pressure required. Cuts parts or materials to size.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete the bonding cycle. Sands, burrs and smoothes over areas.
• Applies sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Process methods and sequences vary depending on compounds, contours and lay-up transitions. May perform complicated rework or repair.
• Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, verbal and electronic information.

Experience:

• 3+ years of aerospace composite experience.
