Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton, WI is seeking an RS Cabinet Maker I to join our team on the second shift (Mon-Thurs, evenings, 4x10s).

You will fabricate cabinets and wood-surfaced subassemblies under direct supervision, using design drawings and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Strong reading of drawings and safety adherence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Wood working, wood finishing or auto body & painting experience in a technical environment or completion in cabinet making certificate preferred.
• Under direct supervision, learns basic skills related to fabrication of aircraft cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Learns entry-level technical skills and knowledge for aircraft cabinetmaking and problem solving.
• Prepares and makes furniture using laminates, veneers, cap strips, and design/engineering drawings.
• Uses the material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off completed work.
• Follows safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and protects the aircraft interior.
