Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Aircraft Battery Test Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. The role covers direct engineering support, systems engineering, and data-driven testing of lead-acid, NiCd, and Li-ion chemistries.

The candidate will work with LabVIEW/ MATLAB tools, review technical docs, and develop analysis briefs and reports for program closeout. Requires US citizenship and interim secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 or more years’ experience.
• Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering support to the Aircraft Battery Programs Special Programs.
• Provide systems engineering support, test and evaluation of aircraft batteries, data analysis, analysis brief development and presentation, and technical report generation.
• Review all technical documents submitted to ensure content meets iPDM process requirements before government approval.
• Apply mission profiles to test systems (e.g., Arbin and LabVIEW-driven modular systems) for various battery test scenarios.
• Support big data techniques to evaluate datasets for predictive analytics and end-of-life characteristics across lithium-based chemistries.
