Fortis Industries, Inc. DBA - LTS, Inc. seeks an Aircraft Avionics Analyst in Warner Robins, GA to support the PCIA engineering office. You will resolve R&M issues for HH-60W, UH-1, TH-1, and MH-139 helicopters, act as SME on USAF helicopter avionics, and draft technical instructions.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, extensive R&M experience, and strong technical writing skills. Travel to aircraft locations and collaboration with engineers may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus 10+ years' experience in helicopter R&M support.
  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Government technical writing and editing skills.
  • Must possess organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong professional, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate cross-functional team collaboration skills in a rapidly changing, high intensity, mission-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer operations and MS Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Applies system engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
  • Works with engineers, analysts, and customers to help resolve challenging R&M problems
  • Performs avionics maintenance data trend analysis, failure mode and effects analysis updates, preventative maintenance package task updates
  • Conducts research on aircraft avionics components and systems using a variety of resources (FEDLog, A-Team, REMIS, EDIS, technical manuals, etc.).
  • Participates in the development of product drawings, schematics, bills of materials, technical data packages (TDP), test procedures, technical instructions, and design documentation.
  • Isolates and analyzes aircraft functional system deficiencies identify appropriate solutions and assist in producing all the data required to implement the improvements
  • Performs research for all aircraft systems, malfunction analysis, modification, parts replacement, components repair, standards, and specifications
  • Recommends procedural changes and submits change recommendation via change request channels
  • Prepares, edits, and/or submits research, travel, technical, and other reports
  • Evaluate customer submitted: document change requests, deficiency reports, safety/hazard reports, and accident/incident reports to evaluate failure modes and formulate solutions
  • May attend and/or provide technical presentations at briefings, conferences, and meetings for internal or external customers
  • Assist engineers in developing and evaluating solutions, drafting technical instructions, developing parts lists, data collection, and root cause analysis
  • Work in a cooperative team environment or individually to produce solutions with little or no guidance

Job Summary

The Aircraft Avionics Analyst (AAA) will support the PCIA engineering office in Warner Robins, GA resolving reliability and maintainability (R&M) issues specific to the HH-60W, UH-1, TH-1, and the MH-139 USAF rotary-wing aircraft. Selected individual will be the subject matter expert (SME) on USAF helicopter avionics systems providing technical support, conducting research, drafting technical instructions, traveling to aircraft locations as necessary, troubleshoot aircraft avionics systems, creating reports on findings, and providing solutions to Engineering Support Task Request (ESTR) as requested by the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities

Security Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level, though candidates with an active clearance are highly sought. US Citizenship is a requirement for secret clearance at this location.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range

$38.00 - $48.00 per hour, (Part-Time)

This position's hourly pay range above is a general guideline. The actual pay offered will be based on the candidate's pertinent experience, currency of that experience, skills, and education.
