Job summary

RTX in Largo, FL is seeking an Airborne Principal Systems Engineer on an onsite basis to lead lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to validation for DoD and international customers. You will guide architecture, requirements, and integration while coordinating with customers and suppliers to ensure world-class solutions.

This role requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret and Top Secret clearances with SCI caveat, U.S.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines in Linux and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and YAML.
• Experience writing and maintaining scripting.
• Experience working on or with networked environments.
• Willingness/ability to travel up to 10% per year.
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years (or 12 years without a degree) and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Citizenship requirement: U.S. citiz*/US person to be eligible for clearance.

Role Description:

The Integrated Platforms (IP) team is hiring Principal Systems Engineersto support programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats. IP supports multiple Collins contracts and is seeking to fill roles across several open contracts — our goal is to align each new hire with a position that best suits their skills and allows for career growth. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be a member of an Integrated Program Team (IPT) developing architecture, refining requirements, guiding system development and integration, supporting test development, and working closely with our customers and suppliers to ensure we deliver world class solutions.

This position requires the ability to obtain a: US Government Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance after start.

Onsite: This is an onsite role supporting our Largo, FL location.

What YOU will do:

• Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation while collaborating with the customer

• Define lab activities including setup, configuration management, and testing

Qualifications You Must Have

• Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines operating in both Linux and Windows environments

• Practical experience with Ansible/YAML

• Experience with writing and maintaining scripting

• Experience working on or with networked environments

• Ability to travel up to 10% per year

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience ++or++ an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience ++or++ in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

• The ability to obtain a US Government Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearanceafter start

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI caveat

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
