Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Direct Support Operator Flight Instructor at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. The role blends classroom instruction, simulator training, and airborne mission operations to prepare 1A8 aviators for JTWS and next-generation systems.

Active TS/SCI clearance is required on Day 1. The position demands strong instructional ability, leadership, and effective communication with military and civilian teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance on Day1.
• Ability to pass flight physical qualifications.
• Instructional expertise, ideally with flight instructor experience.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Experience with interacting with military officers and civilian managers.
• Proficiency with MS 365 and flight training software.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 1A8 career field personnel for qualifications and upgrades.
• Deliver training on mission planning, flight safety, and COMSEC.
• Develop classroom materials and simulator scenarios.
• Advise on military SOI development for current content.
• Assess student performance and create remedial training plans.
• Travel to training locations for aircraft-specific training as needed.
