Job summary

Metrea in Tampa seeks an ISR Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and lifecycle engineering of airborne mission systems on operational aircraft. You’ll translate mission needs into deployable solutions and work with operators, maintainers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, safe, and compliant ISR capabilities for real-world operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of airborne ISR system integration or modification experience.
• Experience with RF signal paths, IP networking, and sensor/mission system interdependencies.

Responsibilities

• Translate ISR requirements into system design, specifications, and installation packages.
• Perform requirements traceability across mission systems.
• Develop CONOPS, architecture diagrams, and integration drawings.
• Plan and execute lab, ground, and flight test activities for ISR systems validation and verification.
• Support airworthiness and certification efforts (FAA and/or military standards).
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP-based mission networks.
