Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join the Air Traffic team. You will help modernize the STARS system, develop and test software updates, and verify requirements to uphold safety and performance across U.S. air traffic operations.

Applicants should have a STEM degree, be a U.S. citizen, and be capable of obtaining FAA clearance. Onsite role with relocation eligibility and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Software or Computer Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.
• Must be willing to obtain FAA clearance: Must have or be capable of obtaining a FAA clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work on the STARS air traffic control system and modernize it under a new contract.
• Support design, development, and testing of software updates for program releases.
• Verify requirements by developing sell-off criteria to ensure safety and performance.
• Collaborate with software teams to deliver operational updates across releases.
• Contribute to modernization of air traffic control nationwide.
