• Supervises a staff of Air Traffic Control Specialists responsible for carrying out air traffic control assignments within a geographic area.
• Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinate employees.
• Sets work priorities and schedules.
• Assumes responsibility for approving leave and giving guidance, counsel, and instruction on work and administrative matters.
• Evaluates performance of employees and recommends performance ratings.
• Hears and resolves complaints from employees; refers grievances to higher management.
• Identifies development needs of employees and arranges training as needed.
• Adjusts staffing levels and work procedures to meet resource decisions from higher levels.
• Promotes diversity and EEO principles and supports labor-management partnerships.
