The Federal Aviation Administration in the United States seeks a Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Operations Manager) to plan and direct operations in a terminal facility.

You will lead a highly technical team, coordinate training, quality assurance, and traffic management activities, and ensure the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of aircraft while supporting agency goals.

Responsabilités

• Directs a highly technical workforce that provides either air traffic control services and/or tactical and strategic support.
• Directs the day-to-day operations of the facility and impacts safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of aircraft.
• Provides training, coaching and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building.
• Plans work, sets priorities and schedules, and approves leave and staffing decisions.
• Hears and resolves employee grievances, conducts disciplinary actions, and coordinates personnel transfers and awards.
• Participates in labor-management partnership and communicates diversity and EEO policies.
• Represents the department in meetings with internal and external customers and aviation industry stakeholders.
• Acts as a member of the management team to improve organizational performance and meet strategic goals.
