Texas State University in San Marcos seeks a Lecturer in Aviation (Air Traffic Control) to join the College of Applied Arts. The candidate will teach in the new Air Traffic Control concentration of the BAAS in Aviation Science, contribute to simulation labs, mentor students, and support program development.

Preferred candidates have ATCS credentials or CPC experience, and experience as an instructor (OJTI a plus). The position reports to the CAE Director and Dean, with start date 01/15/2027.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of fully credentialed ATC experience (ATCS / ICAO / CTO / military with FAA credentials).
• Minimum of two years of Certified Professional Controller ( CPC ) in the Tower or En Route specialty.
• Preferred: On-the-job training instructor ( OJTI ) experience.

Aufgaben

• Deliver high-quality instruction for Air Traffic Control courses.
• Mentor students and support simulation and laboratory activities.
• Contribute to program development in a collaborative academic environment.
• Collaborate with local airports and flight partners to ensure student success.
• Report to the Director of the CoAA CAE and the Dean of the College of Applied Arts.
• Engage in ongoing aviation education and outreach activities.
