Job summary

Tulsa Community College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Air Traffic Control to join its aviation program. The hire will teach components of the IQ curriculum that align with the candidate’s professional ATC experience and credentials.

Applicants should have a minimum of three years of fully credentialed ATC experience, with FAA CPC, ICAO, CTO or Enroute credentials preferred. Experience as an OJTI or FAA evaluator is an advantage; current FAA employees are not eligible for Enhanced AT-CTI

• Current FAA employees are not eligible to teach Enhanced AT-CTI curriculum.

Tulsa Community College is seeing an Assistant Professor of Air Traffic Control.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of three (3) years of fully credentialed experience as one or more of the following:

FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC)

Military air traffic controller with FAA-recognized credentials

ICAO credentialed air traffic controller

Control Tower Operator (CTO) with appropriate certification

Enroute Controller, with appropriate certification or Enroute NON-RADAR teaching certification from Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center

Must be qualified to teach only those components of the IQ curriculum that directly relate to their professional ATC experience.

Current FAA employees are not eligible to teach Enhanced AT-CTI curriculum.

FAA Evaluator Qualifications (Preference given for those that also qualify)

Applicants interested in serving as FAA-approved evaluators for student performance assessments must meet the following requirements:

Must be a former FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC), aligned with the Terminal option.

Must have experience as an On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJTI) and/or have served as a former FAA Operations Supervisor (OS).
