Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Air Tactical Pilot to command the assigned Air Tactical aircraft, coordinating with Air Tactical Group Supervisors and responding swiftly to dispatches. You must reside within 45 minutes of the base and maintain PIC hours across various categories as outlined by Cal Fire standards.

The role requires strict adherence to Cal Fire 8300 policies and Amentum procedures, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits."

Qualifications

• PIC experience: airplane 1,800 hrs
• Airplane, multi-engine: 800 hrs
• Mountain terrain: 200 hrs
• Instrument total: 75 hrs
• Instrument actual: 50 hrs
• Night: 100 hrs
• Make and model to be flown: 10 hrs
• Aerial firefighting (PIC or Co-Pilot): 500 hrs
• AME >6,000 lbs: 100 hrs
• AME >12,500 lbs: 50 hrs
• AME Turbine Powered: 50 hrs
• Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG (Age 40+)

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command of assigned Air Tactical aircraft.
• Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base.
• Be airborne within 15 minutes of dispatch notification.
• Work with assigned Air Tactical Group Supervisors.
• Adhere to Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedure.
• Adhere to Amentum policy and procedure.
• Act professionally as per Amentum standards.
