Job summary

Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. seeks an Air/SOF Aviation Exercise Control SME to support SOCPAC exercise events on Oahu, HI.

The role requires aviation/C2 expertise, coordination with USPACOM Air Cell, and creating realistic airspace and flight control scenarios. Responsibilities include synchronizing MSEL injects, developing ATOs/ACO/SPINS, and injecting operational friction to test staff decision‑making during CPX events scheduled in Oct 2026 and two CPX cycles in 2027.

Qualifications

• Must possess Air/SOF Aviation experience including air planning, long‑range infiltration/exfiltration, personnel recovery, aerial refueling, and specialized CAS.
• Must have experience supporting SOF training and exercise events.
• Must be able to conduct 12‑hour shift work during exercise support events.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Exercise Design Lead to synchronize aviation MSEL injects and ensure realistic flight timelines, fuel use, and basing constraints.
• Develop and synchronize synthetic Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), and SPINS; adjudicate airspace coordination requests.
• Inject aviation friction during CPX, including weather diversions and simulated threats to drive realistic staff decision‑making.
