Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks an Air Quality Project Manager to join the Air Measurements practice in Lakewood, CO, with potential work across the state.

The role requires leadership in air quality compliance and permitting for major industrial clients and a track record of delivering high-quality results. Ideal candidates have a BS or MS in engineering, 10+ years in air quality programs, and strong communication and collaboration skills; a PE license or environmental certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in chemical, environmental, mechanical, civil engineering, or environmental related discipline.
  • 10 years+ of environmental, air quality compliance, permitting experience including Title V, EPA TRI, NSR, MACT.
  • PE license or environmental certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead air quality compliance, permitting, and related high-impact projects for chemical, forest products, refinery, power, oil and gas and industrial clients in Colorado.
  • Serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including NSR/PSD/Title V and MACT.
  • Exceed client expectations with frequent communication, proposal development, and high-quality work products.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver air quality permitting and compliance deliverables on time and efficiently.
  • Manage project budgets and invoicing in line with TRC best practices.
  • Coordinate with TRC Air Quality group for strategic pursuits across regions and energy projects.

Overview

TRC is seeking an Air Quality Project Manager to join our Air Measurements practice in our Lakewood, CO office. This individual may report to our other CO Offices as well, with the potential to work from various locations within the state.

The position requires strong air quality technical capabilities, desire to solve complex problems, commitment to excellence, and the ability to develop client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead air quality compliance, permitting, and related high-impact projects for chemical, forest products, refinery, power, oil and gas and industrial clients located in the Colorado region.
  • Serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including regulatory analyses of facility operations; major and minor source air permit applications under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations; and NESHAP MACT compliance programs.
  • Exceed client expectations with frequent communication, effective proposal development, and producing high quality work products.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide exceptional project deliverables related to air quality permitting and compliance in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Manage project budgets and complete project invoicing, consistent with TRC best practices.
  • Work with other TRC project managers and leaders across the Air Quality Consulting group on strategic pursuits within the company, region, and in the air quality arena including energy projects including extraction, transport, and generation.
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in chemical, environmental, mechanical, civil engineering, or environmental related discipline.
  • 10 years+ of environmental, air quality compliance, permitting experience, including programs such as Title V, EPA Toxic Release Inventory, New Source Review, Air Quality permitting and MACT.
  • Recent working relationships and experience within the EPA Toxic Release, Pollution, Air Resources, Quality Air permitting, and/or industrial sectors.
  • PE license or environmental certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • An effective collaborator and strategic thinker.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
