Job summary

Ramboll seeks an Air Quality Intern to join our Environment & Health team in Los Angeles, Irvine, or Phoenix for Spring/Summer 2027. You will contribute to the Air & Climate Service Line, assisting clients with emissions estimation, modeling, permitting, and compliance.

The role offers hands-on experience in a global engineering consultancy, with mentorship and opportunities to develop technical and communication skills while supporting real projects that improve air quality and environmental

Qualifications

• Working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, or a science degree with air quality course work
• Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations

Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations
• Conducting air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control
• Assisting in preparing major and minor source permit applications and environmental impact reports
• Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
