Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Air Quality Engineer in Texas, with a hybrid work setup across Austin, Dallas, or Houston. You will collaborate with the North American Air Quality Community of Practice Leaders on Gulf Coast air quality projects including permitting, compliance, inventory, and reporting.

The role requires 7+ years in Air Quality, a degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, and ideally EIT/PE in TX/LA. Travel up to 10–20% and a strong mentoring component are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of air quality experience, with oil and gas exposure.
• Bachelor or Master in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• EIT or PE registration in Texas and/or Louisiana preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of Federal and State air quality regulations to permitting and compliance.
• Assist clients with permitting and routine air quality compliance reporting such as certifications and emissions tracking.
• Prepare air permit applications such as Permits-by-Rule, minor NSR, FESOP, Title V, PSD, and NNSR avoidance.
• Collaborate with Arcadis air team leaders to ensure regulatory knowledge and delivery.
• Perform emissions calculations for pollutants and greenhouse gases for inventories and reporting.
• Support client and proposal development activities.
