Love the technical side of Air Quality consulting but don't want to spend your career chasing new business?
What if you could take ownership of technically challenging projects, work with established industrial clients and progress your career without being expected to bring in new business?
I'm partnering with a well-established, privately held engineering and environmental consultancy that's expanding its Texas Air Quality practice following continued demand from existing midstream oil & gas and chemical clients.
This is a genuine growth opportunity within an established, collaborative team that already has a strong pipeline of secured work.
They’re not looking for someone to bring a book of business. They need a technically strong Air Quality professional who enjoys solving problems, delivering projects and making an impact.
And importantly, you won't be forced down a management or business development route to progress your career.
Want to become a recognized technical expert? Great. Interested in project management, mentoring junior engineers or developing client relationships? Those opportunities are available too.
Your career progression can be shaped around your strengths and interests rather than a one size fits all leadership track.
The team has significant ongoing work across midstream O&G and chemical manufacturing sectors.
You’ll be joining to help deliver existing projects, not to spend your time cold calling or developing a client portfolio from scratch.
You’ll have the opportunity to independently manage air permitting and compliance projects, solve complex technical challenges and make meaningful contributions to client operations.
Work alongside experienced Air Quality professionals who genuinely value technical expertise, mentorship and knowledge-sharing.
You’ll have the autonomy to own your projects while being supported by an established team.
You’ll take ownership of air quality permitting and compliance projects for established industrial clients, with a particular focus on midstream oil & gas and chemical operations.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Experience with midstream O&G, chemical manufacturing, emissions inventory workbooks, Title V or PSD permitting would be advantageous.
You don't need an existing client portfolio, extensive business development experience or a formal Project Manager title.
If you're technically capable, enjoy taking ownership of projects and want to continue developing, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
Houston is the preferred location, although Dallas, Austin and other Texas offices may be considered for the right individual.
The company offers hybrid working arrangements, with office attendance and occasional client-site visits depending on location and project requirements.
You don't need to be actively looking to have a conversation.
If you're an experienced Air Quality professional who enjoys the technical work but wants stronger career opportunities, a supportive team and the freedom to develop in a direction that suits you, this could be worth exploring.
