Job summary

State of Wyoming AQD Compliance Inspector position involves high‑level engineering tasks to assure air quality compliance across Wyoming counties. You will inspect facilities, review permits, and provide technical guidance to industry and public to reduce pollution.

The role requires a PE license (Wyoming) within one year and 1–2 years of related experience, with travel to field sites and strong report writing skills. This is a full‑time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1–2 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license required at time of hire; Wyoming PE within one year.
• Willingness to travel and conduct inspections in diverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities meet technical, policy, and regulatory requirements.
• Confers with industry personnel to meet goals and requirements.
• Trains and mentors AQD staff in processes and regulations.
• Inspects and monitors projects for quality and cost control.
• Reviews permits, reports, and monitoring data; drafts written conclusions.
