Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Air Quality Division seeks a dedicated Natural Resource Analyst to join the Cheyenne team. You will assist with project management, analyze ambient air and meteorological data, and support monitoring networks statewide while communicating findings to partners and the public.

Strong analytical skills, knowledge of QA/QC, and the ability to handle multiple projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ambient air quality monitoring systems and techniques.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for trends and statistics.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical/regulatory issues.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects with deadlines.
• Proficient with computer software (MS Office, Google Suite, R).

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and performs environmental data assessments and writes detailed reports.
• Reviews and interprets technical air quality and meteorological data.
• Analyzes ambient air quality data for compliance with standards and trends.
• Manages multiple projects for ambient air quality and monitoring activities.
• Represents the agency in meetings with state, federal, and private entities.
