Job summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. in New Castle, Indiana seeks a Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot (IFR/PIC) for the IN LifeLine program. The Pilot-in-Command ensures flight safety, operates the aircraft as the final authority, and maintains professional communication with supervisors, clients, and co-workers.

This full-time role offers competitive benefits and bonuses, including a $2,000 sign-on and a $5,000 retention bonus, with eligibility per offer letter terms.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate and Instrument Helicopter Rating required.
• FAA 2nd Class Medical (1st Class required at some locations) required.
• Total flight time of 2,000 hours; PIC helicopter time 1,000 hours; turbine helicopter time 500 hours; night time 100 hours.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to the operation of the assigned aircraft at all times
• Interact professionally with customers, co-workers, Metro Aviation management, and the public
• Maintain a work and training schedule and be prepared for extra duty shifts
• Attend Metro Aviation, Inc. or customer meetings as required
• Comply with all directives and guidance of the General Operations Manual and regulatory requirements
• Perform duties and responsibilities specific to Operational Control, as listed in the Manual
• Perform pre-flight inspection and confirm aircraft airworthiness
• Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned aircraft.
